Let’s put it this way.
I’m not against religion but I’m pointing out institutions or “religious groups” that imposes:
“you have to be this way first before you can join us. You have to do this stuff first before you can join us. you have to be so close to perfection before you can join us.. Etc. ”
but Jesus’ message is simple. Remember when he saw Matthew the tax collector?“Matthew, I know you’re a sinner and a tax collector, come, follow me! oh and btw, we are eating at your house!”
Jesus did not come for the ‘well off’ but for the sick and wanting. He accepts us as we are when He beckons us to follow Him. He invites us into this beautiful relationship and in the process of that, his kindness leads us into repentance. That’s why we call him Savior.
